Along with over 40 member organisations from the public and private sector, we recently took part in the Race for Opportunity 2009 benchmarking exercise run by Business in the Community. The certificate from the event organisers stated that, ‘by taking part in this process they (OCS) have shown that they are committed to an action plan which will promote the business case for race and diversity; engage black and other ethnic minorities as part of a diverse customer base, workforce and as community partners.’
